it's february, and i broke out my heart garland.

you can't open your eyes in my room without seeing a million hearts.

celebrating love. it's one of our best holidays.

the christmas times

{christmas eve is a really good day for the guy in charge of the pajama industry. and, just noticed kirsten attempting to strangle kaity. cool.}

it's been such a fun christmas break so far, and yesterday was really rad. i can tell you that there's nothing better than hanging out with my family 24/7, playing games, eating so much crazy delicious food (and also slow-clapping for my mom when she pulls off the freeway to take us to in-n-out), singing to t-swift in the car, and finding out my dad is a BIG spiderman fan. and how about utah's blizzard, huh? all good things.

yesterday, i was transferring all my contacts from my old phone to my new christmas phone (holla), and i was reminded that i'm most grateful for all of the people in my life. i have the most stellar family and friends. it was weird to see that a large portion of the contacts in my phone are all my guy friends out on missions right now. that was a little sad, but i'm also so incredibly happy they're all out there helping people and serving the lord. it was also fun to add in all of my old friends from high school, and then to add my new friends i've met since being in college. i've been so blessed to be able to know so many amazing people.

i'm also so thankful for my heavenly father and jesus christ, which is the whole point of this holiday! i know they live and love us.

i command you to go see it. today. skip school. skip work. whatever. 

it was so good. just go watch it.

i went in expecting a pretty good halloween movie.

but it is a FANTASTIC all-the-time movie. well done, tim burton.

i will own frankenweenie the day it comes out. 

and i will probably be watching it and quoting it as much as i do fantastic mr. fox

i saw this halloween-ish jack black/will ferrell/jason segel disney ad recently and i fell in love with it.
i want to go to disneyland and ride the haunted mansion ride a few times now. that's all.

it's still valentine week. so here are some hilarious valentines.

10:34 - woke up. hey, i need to be at devotional in 20 minutes

10:45 - put on red pants, grey shirt, burned my head with the curling iron

11:00 - devotional by a british guy who referenced harry potter

12:00 - chik-fil-a with dad and kylie. also, got some candy from mom and dad

12:54 - saw a guy riding a bike, carrying a guitar and flowers

1:21 - watched grammy performances on youtube. you go, adele

1:40 - studied for midterms, and sent my valentine a text or two

4:00 - went to class and watched clips of shakespeare adaptations

5:15 - worked, sang loud in edit bay 18

8:15 - dinner

8:20 - ate a cupcake from brooke's mom

8:40 - remembered how i can't do math. curse you, hardy-weinburg equation

right now - studying more. my brain is taaaahhhrd.

this break consisted of sleeping in way too late, eating many cheeseburgers and brownies, playing hundreds of board games, hanging out with danny every day, listening to about today over and over, watching 30 rock, losing every game of "hanging with friends", winning every game of "words with friends", not doing any homework (or working on my film major application, yikes), and quoting bad lip reading videos.

thankful

This is what I ate on Thanksgiving this year.

But you know what? It was definitely ok with that.

I think I'm most thankful for all of the people in my life.

I'm thankful for my family. I'm thankful for my friends.

Those relationships mean everything to me.

I'm so thankful for my relationship with my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.

I'd be lost without my faith and the gospel.

I can't even begin to list all the things I'm thankful for.

All I know is that life is really good.
