pretty mountains + us

coldest I have ever been. like...ever. and our feet got very muddy (notice the lack of full-body shots, haha!!) but you'd never know it by my happy face.
our photographers Megan and Taylor were very very awesome, and the bouquet! i loved that thing.
love that guy, too. he's not too bad.

weekending

you know, i'd kind of like to be heading out of town this weekend... to a beach would be lovely. a girl can dream.

i just did the weekend big clean on my room. for some reason, my room is always so messy by the time friday gets here. i don't even know how it happens. but it does. i should get rid of some clothes...

now that the cleaning sesh is done, it's time to move on to the real weekend festivities. i'm having a sister night with kylie, which will consist of sandwiches and movies. because that's how we do. kylie was in school last semester with me, and we had a sister day every tuesday. we went to devotional, then lunch with dad, then i hung out at the library with her while she worked as a tutor. she graduated and we don't have tuesday sister day anymore, so it'll be fun to have a sister night.

tomorrow will be a laundry, grocery shopping, homework day. james dean might pop in for a visit as well.... we'll see. i hope everyone has a rockin weekend!

a quote, a picture, and some clicks

The best thing about the future is that it comes only one day at a time.
-Abraham Lincoln

I want to sleep here:

and you should click on these (you know, if you want to):

1 / 2 / 3

1. i have watched this like 10 times today. it looks like a sweet love story.
2. the movie i'm watching right now.
3. it's one of my guilty pleasure songs. i don't know why i love it. but when it comes on my shuffle i just have to dance.

and a cheesy analogy

i'm stressed out. it's true.

march/april/may is always the busy time of year for me.

this year it seems especially crazy.

so much to do all at the same time.

i feel like i'm riding a roller coaster. but i don't have the safety restraint on.

and while i'm focusing on not falling off the ride,

my shoes are coming off and things are falling out of my pockets.

but i like that picture of balloons.

it alleviated some stress for a minute or two.

spring break in one week. one week.

i don't have much to say today,

but wouldn't it be nice to be here
or here
or here?
i think it would be nice.

thanks, papertissue, for the pretty photos
and for making me daydream the last few hours away.

ps - i can hear "beat it" by michael jackson blaring from my basement right now. i like that.

i found a quote that goes with this cool picture

"Over the years I have learned that what is important in a dress
is the woman who is wearing it."
-Yves Saint Laurent

and how about some other quotes that are just cool and/or funny.

"When two hearts race, they both win."
-dove chocolate

"He grew up on a freaking sailboat!"
-ky's roomate, amy. in a text, i believe.

"Why is everyone at this school covered in blood?"
-ryan moon

"But sometimes after I eat Del Taco late at night, I'm like, 'Ohhhh my gosh. Why is there a gremlin in my stomach.'"
-newman, that history teacher of mine

new york in black and white

My mama took these photos and they hang in my room. I think they're cool.
I went to New York a few years back.
I saw The Drowsy Chaperone and Hairspray (before it was even a movie).
I ate at an italian restaurant in Little Italy.
I went inside the Statue of Liberty.
I stayed on the 38th floor of a hotel.
I held a crab in china town. That was gross.
I had a smoothie at the Jamba Juice on Times Square.
I went to the giant Toys 'R Us.
I walked across the Brooklyn Bridge and had scalding hot chocolate in Brooklyn.
And a bunch of other stuff.
That was a cool trip.

This picture. Julie Andrews is my favorite, and everyone loves Audrey.
