i can't even tell you how happy this is making me today

pro: i watched a really good documentary this week.

con: the store ran out of milk, so i can't eat my honeycomb right now.

pro: the homework load is much lighter this semester than last.

con: applying for my major is a little stressful and intimidating.

pro: new nail polish.

i can think of more pros than cons today.

there are more pros on most days lately.

i just finished my last bit of homework for the semester.

am i happy about it?

watching soccer with cameron and beanz. dirty feet from playing in the grass. stars. ultimate grilled cheese. clean sheets. crazy colorful sunsets. listening to edward sharpe and the magnetic zeros in the mornings. boating. eating cookies and sammiches in the sunshine during my lunch breaks. a nice guy named danny. long drives. sleeping in. jarvis. feeeeeeelin good.

i also love that we get to experience sadness too.

because without it, we wouldn't be able to feel the happiness.

You know that scene on Day After Tomorrow, when it's so freezing outside, that the fuel in the helicopters freeze and plummet to the ground, then guys open the helicopter doors and they instantly freeze? Like, the blood in their veins freezes and they all die?

Or that part on Batman Begins when Bruce Wayne is climbing up the mountain in the blizzard to that weird ninja temple and his face is all covered in ice once he gets there?

That was me this morning.

Frigid. Cold. Outside.

And my car heater decided to malfunction... so my hand was sort of frozen to the steering wheel once I got to school and I think the inside of my lungs were coated with frost.

Not my best morning.

But even though all that happened, I still had a good day. Happiness is a choice.

I'm trying really hard not to let the little things get me down. Because lately I feel like I've kind of been having an on-and-off pity party for myself. Why? Not really sure. I have just felt so moody moody moody lately. Bah! I'm done with that.

Let's be happy.

Sometimes when i have a runny nose, i stick tissues in my nostrils so I don't have to sniff. But only when I'm alone, since that isn't really acceptable.

Sometimes the guy at Gandolfo's throws my sandwich at me while I'm not looking. And sometimes my teacher tells the whole class that I have polio. I don't.

And sometimes I learn in seminary that we have colors for the sole purpose of making us happy. I like that.

every time i thought about it today, i got a silly grin on my face.

I had never touched a real live missionary before.

Ever read 1000 Awesome Things?
It's really, well, awesome.

Today, a few things happened that deserve to be on the list of 1000 awesome things.

{A song came on that I didn't think I knew. But somehow I knew every single word. Or rather, my subconcious knew all the words. And I sang it all. And I knew when the key change was. Weird, but awesome.

{I wore my mocassins. Oh man, I love my mocassins. They make me feel like a champion. Awesome.

{Kirsten, Eryn, Kassie, and I were driving down the road when we passed a few missionaries walking on the side walk. I rolled down the window and waved at them and yelled "Wahoo! Missionaries!" because that's what we do around here. Then, one of them ran in to the road and up to the car and gave me a high five as we drove past. Let me tell you, getting a high five at 25 miles per hour is dang awesome.

Let's be awesome every day.

because my hair looked dang good for about 2 hours today.

because new episodes of chuck come on tomorrow.
because of a boy who shall remain nameless.
because the rockstars are having a baby.
because my sister goes to school with me.
