it's called incredibox.

i came across this site last semester when i was working on an audio mix for a class.
and it's awesome!

you basically create a symphony of beat boxing, whistling, and other cool mouth sounds.
it's fuuuuun to play with and it's cool because someone thought of it and made it happen.

i saw this halloween-ish jack black/will ferrell/jason segel disney ad recently and i fell in love with it.
i want to go to disneyland and ride the haunted mansion ride a few times now. that's all.

i've been off twitter during the olympics, because i don't want to know the outcome of any events until i watch them in person. but here is what i would have tweeted so far:

- my thoughts are now being narrated in dan hicks' voice.

- dreamed about michael phelps last night. and the night before.

- i think my best shot at qualifying for Rio 2016 is rowing. i can be that short girl at the end of the boat who doesn't have to row.

interviewed.

a few months ago i applied for the film program, maybe you recall. part of the application process was an interview with the film faculty. guess who's on the film faculty? the man who plays the principal on napoleon dynamite. fun interview.

it was kind of like that.

but i kept expecting him to say something like, "smashing in the face a pinata that resembles summer wheatley is a disgrace to you, me, and the entire gem state."

limitless paper in a paperless world

here i am, writing my american heritage paper. 96 words down, only 654 to go. but i realized about 15 words in that we were out of paper. of course. so i texted my roommate, and she brought home this:

whaat? is this real life? as soon as i saw it, this song popped into my head.

what a great day to write an essay. i can't wait for those 654 words to be done so i can print it.

is pretty funny.

you type in any actor's name, and it will tell you how many degrees away they are from kevin bacon through movies. apparently every actor is no more than six degrees away, but i typed in names for like half an hour and didn't get one that was more than three degrees away (even charlie chaplin has a bacon number of three).

allred concert.

i went to an allred concert last night (look how close i was) at the velour. ok, that guy is talented. my favorite was his cover of with or without you by u2. gorgeous. he did all the looping of each instrument sound himself. it was unreal.

i love music. this week i've been listening to every kind of music you could think of. and i've been listening to it constantly. seriously, you should see my grooveshark playlist. you name it, it's probably on my list this week. music is so good.
