today during my class break i wandered around to my favorite trees.

i can't pick a favorite season. it changes from day to day. usually i say fall is my favorite, but really, there's no way for me to decide. i think my favorite thing is the change in seasons. i like that i get reminded how great all the seasons are right at the beginning of each one. there's equal excitement and beauty whether it's seeing the leaves first change yellow and red and breaking out the cardigans again, or sitting on your driveway eating an otterpop and looking at stars on warm summer nights, or the first snowfall and seeing christmas lights, or the huge pink blossoms on all the trees and seeing the sprinklers turn the grass green. all of the seasons are my favorite.

it's 63 degrees outside. my brain is programmed to think i'm supposed to be golfing right now. that's how i've spent every spring day for the past 3 years. so it's a little weird that i'm studying for an exam and going to work in half an hour, and not at golf practice. hmm. it ain't right.

i named my driver bruce willis because it is really bad-a. i'm letting kirsten use him this season since i won't be able to give him much attention. sorry for leaving you, bruce willis. at least you get to go out and play. make mama proud.

maybe all i did today was sit in my backyard and watch a baby duck almost hatch.

today felt like a wednesday and i was happy when i found out it was thursday.

ok. i locked the keys in the running car again. you can tell which days i'm feeling out of it.

i forgot how much i like spring. everything smells so fresh. and it's light outside when i have to go to school. i think spring afternoons/early evenings are my favorite. i just want to lay outside on the grass and breathe spring air.

dream date. i have been thinking about it.

it would start with a hot air balloon ride. and my date would be a certified hot air balloon pilot so there wouldn't be the extra person up there. third wheels are awkward. then we would have a picnic. either on a golf course or in the woods. then we would end the night with stargazing. stargazing in the middle of nowhere so we could see billions of stars.

my real camera is broken, so i took a bunch with the ipod.

it was a week of swimming, eating, sightseeing, eating, relaxing, and eating.

spring break has been good to me.

got a text from my dad saying that he was in a meeting with james cameron (whaat. cool, i know)

hung out at the pool for 4 hours

read from pre-columbian to the jacksonian era in my review book

watching another movie now

i could get used to this.

it's spring break!

kind of funny... today and yesterday have been warmer in alaska than here. i live in a cold state.

i have a lot of freckles

and they are starting to show more because the sun is out.

there is one day left until spring break. even more sun.

i'm going to las vegas. to see the eiffel tower.

one day i'll go see the real one.

i daydream about visiting france almost every day.

maybe even living there for a while.

and lately, i've been daydreaming about a trip to tahiti. doesn't it look amazing?

i wonder if the water is cold.

i know a girl from tahiti. she is one of my heros.

i'm going to bed early tonight.

i really do play golf. it's not all a facade.

yesterday i played in a tournament. it was windy. but i liked the course.

and my mom was there to document it.

i'm stressed out. it's true.

march/april/may is always the busy time of year for me.

this year it seems especially crazy.

so much to do all at the same time.

i feel like i'm riding a roller coaster. but i don't have the safety restraint on.

and while i'm focusing on not falling off the ride,

my shoes are coming off and things are falling out of my pockets.

but i like that picture of balloons.

it alleviated some stress for a minute or two.
