i'm writing a book of tiny stories

a little movieeee

here's the short little film i made last week.

i kind of decided last minute that i wanted to make something to enter into this film festival we have, 

and i was actually able to pull it off in time!

HUGE thank you to my friend michael for narrating and for composing rad music.

as it turns out, "sweetly unsettling" stuff is my favorite to write.

let's hope it gets selected to play in the festival.
(and could it win the animation category? doubtful, but that would be neat.)

and i have to say, free-handing that "you" is one of my greatest life accomplishments thus far.

as we were making it, we were thinking it could be dedicated to people who actually read our blogs. we love you all.

we did some chalking

clay and i kind of just made up the design on the fly, and it turned out pretty cool.

fish lake

i've been at fish lake all week.

fishing. relaxing on the boat. reading. eating. getting kinda sunburned.

i spent most of my weekend locked in my room drawing this:

i have always loved the credits on tangled, and i thought it looked doable. so here it is.

it's my first real animation! hand drew it all in photoshop with my art tablet, animated it in motion, and put it together in final cut. it's kinda supposed to be rapunzel and flynn...

but really, it's me and zachary levi.
