"Fashion show! Fashion show! Fashion show at lunch!"

I'm having a fairly serious wardrobe malfunction.
None of my clothes are cute this week.
I spent like half an hour trying to pick an outfit for today.
No luck.
And now, I'm faced with picking a sunday outfit for school tomorrow.
I thought I found a good one, but here's the problem:
It includes a pencil skirt, and I have to play cello tomorrow.
Side-saddling the cello isn't a fun thing.
This outfit situation isn't looking good....

It's a boring blog post. So deal with it.

Here's the thing. I don't really have anything to blog about today. So I'm just going to start typing, and we'll see what comes out.
I can't find my camera cord, so I'm unable to load photos from my camera.
I got my first comment of hate about my DJing today. Someone called in and the conversation went as follows:
"Is this Pleasant Grove High School's radio station?"
"Yes, it is."
"Were you guys seriously talking about Kneader's french toast?"
"That's really dumb. Could you please talk about something else?"
"{scoff} Sure."
"You should go find Jake Cook. He's the best DJ that ever came out of KPGR. And you guys really suck."
"Ok, anything else?"
"Ok, bye."

Someone had their Jerk-o's for breakfast this morning.
I would upload some photos of my radio show, but, as I mentioned before, I'm having difficulty locating the cord. They're exciting photos. Ryan and I made a great poster. And we have a new addition to the weird objects in the radio room: A stuffed mallard. Not a toy. We're talking taxidermy. Awesome. Also, creepy.

I got 88.75% on my math test. I won't lie, I'm super psyched about it. I was pretty sure I got less than 50%. My grade now sits at a 90%. That's without the quiz and assignment drops. I think if I'm really lucky, I could pull an A in there. An A in AP Calculus. Not bad.

I'm really excited to wear my Halloween costume to school. The rest of Halloween, not so much. I'm just kinda pumped to wear my favorite outfit: my Hogwarts school uniform. Also, this means I don't have to choose an outfit on Friday morning. That reminds me, I need to hot glue my wand back together. It broke.

I take back what I said about Alton Brown being obnoxious in and earlier post about Food Network. I started watching "Good Eats." Alton really knows his stuff.

I have to dress like a doctor for a murder mystery party we're having in English tomorrow. Goody.

I officially wish I could sing.

Office quote of the day:
Michael: Someone complained that the men's restroom is 'whites only.' Stanley, why would you think that?
Stanley: I didn't say that.
Creed: Then why is there a picture of a white man on the door?

It would be cool if people actually read this blog.

Sometimes I mess around on picnik. I made this collage. Woo. I think I'll hit the sack now.

Wins the prize.

Robin Hood
Cheesecake shake
Abundant laughter

Today makes up for the dreadful days that meshed to compose this "super bad" week.
Who would've thought?

Come lay down in the white air,
Rest your head on an otter.

THE perfect car music

This is one of my favorite cd's ever.
It almost makes thinking about the ACT tomorrow fun.

I like it when there are nice leaf showers pouring from all the trees.
Driving through the leaf-showers was probably the best thing that happened to me today.

you survive to cook another day

All of a sudden I am addicted to Food Network.
I really can't say.
A) I'm a terrible cook
B) Two of the most obnoxious people in existance dominate the channel {see images below}
C) It makes me hungry, which is a problem within a problem {see A}the chairman on "Next Iron Chef"
Is he really a ninja?
Alton Brown...
Can you say Syndrome?

Oh well, maybe I will be able to pick up a thing or two after watching
Chopped and Next Iron Chef.
But, probably not.

Rockstar Diaries.

The Rockstar Diaries is my favorite blog to read. Easily.
So, I'm going to pretend to be her for a moment, if that's quite all right with you....
Here are some "polaroids" I took when I went to New York a few years ago.

I want to go back.

song of the day.

Marching Bands of Manhattan
Death Cab For Cutie

If I could open my arms
And span the length of the isle of Manhattan,
I'd bring it to where you are
Making a lake of the East River and Hudson
If I could open my mouth
Wide enough for a marching band to march out
They would make your name sing
And bend through alleys and bounce off all the buildings.

I wish we could open our eyes
To see in all directions at the same time
Oh what a beautiful view
If you were never aware of what was around you
And it is true what you said
That I live like a hermit in my own head
But when the sun shines again
I'll pull the curtains and blinds to let the light in.

Sorrow drips into your heart through a pinhole
Just like a faucet that leaks and there is comfort in the sound
But while you debate half empty or half full
It slowly rises, your love is gonna drown

Your love is gonna drown
Your love is gonna...

i think they're good.

I'm Harry Potter, Harry Harry Potter...

I saw Harry Potter again yesterday.
It's brilliant.I would marry Ronald in a heartbeat.

they chose a good Cormac McLaggen, I must say.

Oh, come and stir my cauldron,
And if you do it right
I'll boil you up some hot, strong love
To keep you warm tonight.

Let's take a break for fall.
Yes, let's.

Tuesday, October 6, 2009

I'm almost out of straws today.

Congratulations, October 6th. You win the bad day award!

I didn't sleep very well. I dreamed about Taylor Swift and Mr. Van Dijk.

I had no cute clothes this morning. My room is full of clothes, but I couldn't find anything cute. I wish my closet looked like this:

Today marked the beginning of "static-hair season." {boo}. This is the time when I really want to chop my hair and/or wear it up everyday.

This is paired with "dry hands season." My hands feel like paper.

I left to go to school. But I couldn't see out my windshield, due to the thick layer of frost. I forgot to factor that in this morning. So, I sat out in the freezing car with the defrost on and the windshield wipers going for about 5 minutes. I was late for seminary.

I was also tardy to orchestra; and hey, let's forget our binder full of music too! Ok, done.

Sometimes there are certain people that are incredibly obnoxious. I'm usually quite good at tolerating them, but today I felt quite irritable.

I got absolutely nothing done in B2 and B3. True, it was nice to have a couple relaxation periods, but 3 hours in Russ Mayo's classroom kind of wears and tears on your sanity.

Lunch was kind of boring today.

Math is hard. I just tried to upload a picture of my 6 page assignment, but blogger said "the file is corrupt." I have to agree with that statement.

I have to do test corrections, but not just any test corrections. Test corrections ON my test corrections. Which means I've done these math problems 3 times. You can feel bad for me.

I have yet to begin my online financial literacy course.

I am procrastinating my long biology assignment and my essay as we speak.

I have to do a radio show against my will today. You're welcome, Jamal and Trent, for filling in.

I have to wear a dress to listen to a speaker at mutual tonight. Lame.

I got a severe craving to go to Las Vegas today. I know that's really random. I like Las Vegas, and we go there quite often.

I just need a long break. Or a long nap.

At least there are a few good things going on:

Pam and Jim are getting married on Thursday at 8 o'clock on NBC.
I get to go golfing on Thursday too.
I get to go to seminary everyday, even if it is early.
My mom made pumpkin cookies.
Hey, maybe I will wear an ugly sweater tomorrow. Yesss. Cozy.
If I don't have any requests, I can play whatever songs I want on the radio today.
It is Kimberly's (the pink ranger) birthday today.

Good attitude, good attitude, good attitude, good attitude, good attitude. Maybe if I say it enough, it'll happen.
