in the films

this school year i have watched 12 foreign films.
i didn't even know i liked foreign films.
turns out i do.

i watched la vita e bella this week and loved it.
it was in italian.
and it might have made my top ten favorite movies ever.

also this year i have watched 2 films in spanish, 3 in french, 2 in german,
1 in danish, 1 in russian, 1 in japanese, and 1 in hebrew.
pretty neat, i think.

that's so cool. i've only seen one or two, myself. i'm danish (through my mom's side) and i've always wanted to learn it. it sounds so cool.

Life is Beautiful is one of my all time favorites. I also like the Chinese movies Shaolin Soccer and Hero. If you get a chance, I'd suggest those films.

I cry every time I watch Life is Beautiful. So wonderful. I agree with Duclos. Hero is awesome. Also Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Oh, and Russian Ark, although I think there is slight nudity in that one, my dad always skipped over those parts...you can never be sure with the foreign ones...
