the play is the thing
I like watching plays.
I feel so cultured and rather elegant.
But I don't like sitting in isle seats,
Or next to old people that smell like dust.
The actors should stay onstage
and not walk up isles
or interact with the audience.
That's my opinion.

It's Raining in Love by Richard Brautigan
I don't know what it is,
but I distrust myself
when I start to like a girl
a lot.
It makes me nervous.
I don't say the right things
or perhaps I start
to examine,
evaluate,
compute
what I am saying.
If I say, "Do you think It's going to rain?"
and she says, "I don't know,"
I start thinking: Does she really like me?
In other words, I get a little creepy.
A friend of mine once said,
"It's twenty times better to be friends
with someone
than it is to be in love with them."
I think he's right and besides,
it's raining somewhere, programming flowers
and keeping snails happy.
That's all taken care of.
BUT
if a girl likes me a lot
and starts getting real nervous
and suddenly begins asking me funny questions
and looks sad if I give the wrong answers
and she says things like,
"Do you think it's going to rain?"
and I say, "It beats me,"
and she says, "Oh,"
and looks a little sad
at the dear blue California sky,
I think: Thank God, it's you, baby, this time
instead of me.

Love-Hate Relationships...
As of late, I have come to realize that there are a lot of things in my life that I either love hating or hate loving. The main thing for me right now is that I hate how much I love the Jonas Brothers. It's like the most cliche thing ever for a 16 year old American girl to be madly in love with
the Jonas Brothers, and I hate to admit it, but I totally am. Nick Jonas is just so dilectable and so darn good looking, I can't help it. They're music is decent; I've begun to grow to love a few of their songs. But I just hate that I love them. . . "and i'm speechless, over the edge, i'm just breathless. i never thought that i'd catch this Lovebug again..."
Here's another: I hate that I love cell phones. I just had to pay my dad $25 for last month's cell phone bill (which is nothing, compared to the $63 dollar bill I had to pay for February...) which makes me want to hurt children. I just love when I get texts! It's like "Oh! Someone loves me!" but its baaaad. I really shouldn't text or talk on the phone so much. My goal is to have to pay $0 for the month of June... We'll see how things play out.
Oh here's a good one: Boys. I'm pretty sure every girl hates how much she loves boys. I don't really have much to say about this one...the word "boy" pretty much sums it all up.
On the other hand, I love hating things too... :)
Snape, for example. I love hating him! He is just so bad. It's not like I hate him so much that I just wish he wasn't a character in the Harry Potter series. It's the same story with most villians/antagonists in movies and books. I love hating the bad guys!
But when you get right down to it, the ultimate love-hate relationship is school.
Things I hate about school:
getting up early, boringness, crappy teachers and subjects, people that bug, homework...
Things I love about school:
friends, cute boy(s), lunch, fun classes, learning, coolio teachers, the days I look really cute
Good thing it's summer vacation and we don't have to think about school too much :)
Have a good night!

On the 16th of May...
Whilst Nicole was partying hard core at morp all day, here is what I did:
- woke up at 10:30
- was drafted into helping clean the garage (this included scraping dirt out from between the cracks in the floor. random? yes)
- made french toast
- took a shower
- went to the pizza factory and ate a wonderful salad from the salad bar, and took the fetuccini alfredo home in a box
- went to Walmart with madre and sister kaity
- ate a watermelon sucker while driving up to Brookie's house with the windows down playing the tunes
- slaved over the blasted math packet with Brookie
- visited nicole during her "get ready for the dance" time
- tripped down her front walk way as i was leaving (providing a good laugh for me and Brookie while laying on Nicole's front lawn)
- got lost in Pleasant Grove trying to find the fastest way to state street
- got a hot fudge sunday from McDonalds
- listened to a live Coldplay concert while writing a letter to my future husband. weird, i know
- went to the driving range at Cascade golf course in Orem and hit 1 and a half buckets of golf balls
- took my second trip to walmart. Paul needed antifreeze
- ate the fetuccini alfredo and watched my bean plant grow
And now, I'm going to go down to my room, build a fort over my bed, read my scriptures, color a picture of a lion, and wait for Colie to text me so we can chat about her wonderful adventure with Blakifer at morpskis! Cheers.
