gesamtkunstwerk

i got bored during class today. learning new, weird words like gesamtkunstwerk and writing them over and over is not a good form of entertainment. it got old pretty quickly. so i decided to browse the app store. i purchased one and used it on my walk home. people scoffed as i pranced all the way there, but i felt alive and happy. so there you go. my nightly walk turned into a gesamtkunstwerk.

thoughts

when i get ideas for potential blog posts, i usually jot them down in a draft. there are a bunch of those baby ideas that i probably will never write into full posts. so here's a taste of what could have been:

i ate a kumquat for the first time today and it was real goooood. they are like baby oranges.

if i could switch with someone for a day, i think i would choose kate middleton.

is it just me, or do owen wilson and ellen degeneres look really similar...

maybe my life revolves around food.

i just want to make nice things and have a nice husband and be happy.

i spent $5.24 in the past two weeks. that's cool.

i like adam levine. mostly his voice. his face is good too.

golf

it's 63 degrees outside. my brain is programmed to think i'm supposed to be golfing right now. that's how i've spent every spring day for the past 3 years. so it's a little weird that i'm studying for an exam and going to work in half an hour, and not at golf practice. hmm. it ain't right.

i named my driver bruce willis because it is really bad-a. i'm letting kirsten use him this season since i won't be able to give him much attention. sorry for leaving you, bruce willis. at least you get to go out and play. make mama proud.

you know it's a successful weekend if you slept in till 11, people brought you donuts and chocolate cake, and you watched 3 tom hanks movies.

weekending

you know, i'd kind of like to be heading out of town this weekend... to a beach would be lovely. a girl can dream.

i just did the weekend big clean on my room. for some reason, my room is always so messy by the time friday gets here. i don't even know how it happens. but it does. i should get rid of some clothes...

now that the cleaning sesh is done, it's time to move on to the real weekend festivities. i'm having a sister night with kylie, which will consist of sandwiches and movies. because that's how we do. kylie was in school last semester with me, and we had a sister day every tuesday. we went to devotional, then lunch with dad, then i hung out at the library with her while she worked as a tutor. she graduated and we don't have tuesday sister day anymore, so it'll be fun to have a sister night.

tomorrow will be a laundry, grocery shopping, homework day. james dean might pop in for a visit as well.... we'll see. i hope everyone has a rockin weekend!

my show passed the quality check. that means i get to sleep in tomorrow.

but i guess that doesn't have to be a bad thing.

the good news? oscars this weekend.

my application for my major is finally done and turned in.

and i found a full bag of almond joys in my closet today.

this school year i have watched 12 foreign films.

i didn't even know i liked foreign films.

turns out i do.

i watched la vita e bella this week and loved it.

it was in italian.

and it might have made my top ten favorite movies ever.

also this year i have watched 2 films in spanish, 3 in french, 2 in german,

1 in danish, 1 in russian, 1 in japanese, and 1 in hebrew.

pretty neat, i think.
