a few months ago i applied for the film program, maybe you recall. part of the application process was an interview with the film faculty. guess who's on the film faculty? the man who plays the principal on napoleon dynamite. fun interview.

it was kind of like that.

but i kept expecting him to say something like, "smashing in the face a pinata that resembles summer wheatley is a disgrace to you, me, and the entire gem state."

a little pet peeve

it bugs me when the name of the actor is not above the picture of the actor on movie posters.

there, i said it.

i know why they put the names in that order, but i just wish they'd make the picture match it sometimes, you know? it wouldn't be that hard.

two examples. those would be easy fixes.

1. i had another celebrity dream. ben affleck was my husband. later got taken out by an assassin. dang it.

2. stores do not sell pop rocks anymore. i went to 4 different stores looking for them today. so if you come across some pop rocks, buy them all and keep them in a safe place.

3. still listening to imagine dragons all day erry day. also, this song by paper route.

4. i miss the skype dates. and the real-life ones too.

once upon a sunday night, this is how brooke and i entertained ourselves.

we wanted to see what our real laughs looked like.

reading autocorrects late at night... very hilarious.

i'm really glad i had a roommate who laughs at all the same dumb things i do.

*note to self: wear your glasses. you are a champion squinter.

playing mom today

8:15 - wake up. the sun is really bright in that upstairs room.

8:55 - drive kaity to school.

9:01 - get ready for the day.

9:40 - work.

12:47 - drive home. eat enchiladas.

1:05 - go outside and finish reading the time traveler's wife.

1:25 - check the mail. nada.

2:04 - check the mail again. nada.

3:20 - check the mail again. something! but not for me. bumma.

3:30 - pick up kaity from school.

4:01 - go to walmart so kaity could get a friend's birthday present. also realized that i have a weakness for essie nail polish and that big thing of $5 dvds. almost buy two new colors and two movies. don't buy anything.

4:55 - go to the library. check out a new book. and a movie.

5:29 - run laundry.

6:00 - take the kiddos to mutual.

6:04 - switch the laundry.

6:06 - water the plants.

6:15 - watch the movie i checked out. when harry met sally. LOVED it.

8:30 - take the kiddos to walmart (for the second time) because jamie needs to make butterbeer to take to school tomorrow.

now - feeling super wanderlust-y. i'd like to go on an adventure.

i've gone on some good sister dates this week.

cupcake date with jamie. concert date with kylie.

all the candy

i've always claimed that i have a salt tooth instead of a sweet tooth.

my whole life, i have usually chosen cheetos, chips, or cottage cheese and wheat thins over cookies, candy, ice cream, and cupcakes.

but this past week since i've been home, i think i have eaten more candy than ever before.

so much candy.

i ate that chocolate bunny for breakfast like it was no big deal.
