two movies

I watched two excellent movies this week.

Larry Crowne. Written, directed, and starring Tom Hanks. It was fabulous. It was funny, and sweet, and just made your heart feel good. And Julia Roberts is stunning always. I loved it.

Midnight in Paris. Um, mostly I'm speechless because I loved it so much. Not a chick flick, as I originally guessed. It will make you want to go to Paris really bad, and it is good for art/history nerds like me. Woody Allen knows about good production design, he does.

Yep. I SO recommend both.

how many times have YOU watched this trailer?

i saw it a few months ago, and i know i've watched it far too many times since.

rainy days are good days

i don't know what it is about waking up to the sound of rain pounding on the roof.

but i think it's my favorite sound in the whole world.

re-runs

a lame feeling

is the one you get when you go to watch your favorite show on tv (or on hulu, in my case) and see that there was no new episode that week. darn you, re-runs!

that was the old me.

now that i edit a tv show for my job, i absolutely love the weeks we re-air old episodes. i barely have to work! i simply send an email that says "re-air episode 630." and i get to stay home and play monopoly.

now when i go to hulu and see that modern family has re-run episodes two weeks in a row, the new me doesn't get mad. the new me simply says, 'good job, editor. you work hard and we all love you.'

i love re-runs.

i got a beautiful little instax camera for christmas (thank you santa!).

every year on the 23rd of december, we have a christmas movie marathon.

this is our line up tonight.

i also watched some christmas-y friends episodes last night.

they're going all over the world, and i think it's the coolest thing ever!

home

i moved home for christmas.

little sister got my old room in the basement, so i got a new room.

it's upstairs.

it has freshly painted grey walls and vaulted ceilings.

it's cold at night.

i like it.
