Watch this without smiling, I dare you.
It makes me want to adopt a little asian kid.
And buy a ukulele.

tidbits

I came across this cool photo of Jane Fonda the other day. Pretty girl. She's hilarious in the movie Monster in Law. Have you seen it?

Has anyone else ever wondered why September is the 9th month instead of the 7th?

I keep getting letters and emails from St. Olaf College in Minnesota. I think if I went there, I'd find it way too comical...

Fall break yo. I need this so bad.

That is Priceless

Masterpiece #355

Workshop of Jan van Ravesteyn, Dutch
Christian Bale Playing a Woman Disguised as Christian Bale, 1609
Oil on Panel

I wish I was this funny.
All the credit goes to That is Priceless.
Here is another recent favorite.
Enjoy.

P.S. I think Mr. Newman totally could be writing a blog like that. He's sort of an expert on making up captions for historical paintings.

homecoming

First of all, there was a homecoming pageant.

When all was said and done, I had a lot of fun and I'm so glad I did it.
Doing my skit was my favorite part (did I just say I liked doing a skit?).
I did the Taylor Swift SNL monologue, but I changed all the lyrics so it was all about KPGR.
Here I am with my awesome guitar player, Dillon. He was super nice to come to all the rehearsals with me. Nice kid. And who knew he looked so good as a cowboy?
This was just before we constructed a bolo tie out of a shoe lace, a chocolate coin, and electrical tape...

And then there was a homecoming dance.
Here's what the dress looked like.
And what's a blog for if you don't post awkward pictures of yourself?
Me and Danny.
I think you all should know that he asked me in probably the most elaborate way possible.
I won't go into great detail, but I will say it involved a scrapbook of my favorite things, a door, hot kool-aid, and a lovely bouquet of orange flowers.
Pretty awesome.

the most under-appreciated disney ladies

The Muses from Hercules. Especially the one with the long, flowing hair. Love her.

Tiger Lily from Peter Pan. Obviously a babe. I'd do anything to have a pair of moccasin boots like hers.

Jane from Tarzan. She so doesn't get enough credit. She's gorgeous. And awesome.

You don't have to be a princess to be cool. . .

Thursday

Also known as
Ballet Day.

For years, Thursdays consisted of:

pink tights
peanut butter and jelly sandwiches
bar
the knitting lady
leotards
carpets
the creepy staircase that no one dared climb
black rubber floors
NOT touching the insulation on the walls
high ponytails
sore toes
teacher Lynn
the parachute
and endless ron de jambes

It's programmed in my brain.
Thursday = Ballet Day.

Milk. The backbone of young Britain.

My sister lived in England for a few months last spring/summer.
She brought back this little print for me.
Everytime I look at the slogan at the bottom, it cracks me up.
Talk about random.
But I drink more milk than water, so that's why I love it.

I love all those WWII posters. Like this one and this one. So cool.
