freezeframe + a contest?

my favorite moment of the sherlock holmes 2 credits.
yep.

i'm thinking about holding a contest. one in which you guys send me funny robert downey jr things (reminiscent of this and this and this) (and brissa sent me a link to this, which was hilarious also)
and i give a prize to the sender of my favorite one.

if you run across a good rdj pic/gif/video/whatever, leave me a link in a comment box or email it to me (my email is in the "about" tab).

this is a completely random idea i just had. and maybe all of you will be too shy to send me anything.
all i know is i could use more rdj-related humor in my life. and you probably could too.

Tuesday, June 12, 2012

well,

i finally went to see avengers. loved it, obviously.
and this is pretty much what's been on my mind for the past couple hours:

i have always been the most loyal ironman fan. always.
i don't know what has come over me. and i don't want to say anything i'll regret later...
but if at this very moment in time
captain america and ironman were fighting for my attention,
i'd pick captain america.

*note: ironman does not equal robert downey jr in this scenario

i love everything about the academy awards.

one of the highlights for me was robert downey jr and gwyneth presenting documentary.

RDJ: "Please don't talk while i'm talking. It will make post a nightmare."

it was like he was speaking right to me.

look to my right, and i see the...

I have touched RDJ's hand. It's whatever.
I'm sorta crazy about movies and film history and celebs, as you know. Going to Grauman's Chinese Theatre really tickled my fancy.

you either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.

my sister and i were just talking about how much we love a good superhero movie.

ryan reynolds as a pilot/creating things with his mind? yes please.
getting real excited for the next batman. i don't think it'll disappoint.
i feel way good about andrew garfield as a spiderman. i trust him.
who doesn't like clark kent? really.
i watch the captain america trailer multiple times per day. i gotta get to a theatre stat.
and, well, you guys know how i feel about robert downey jr. love.

there's something about the superheroes.

2 things.

I saw my wedding ring. The one I would enjoy having, anyway.
I saw it on an andrewandcarissa video and had to take a screen shot.
(They are like my freelance filmmaking idols, by the way.)

It's lovely and simple. Just how I like it.

On a completely unrelated note
I was cleaning out my email inbox today and I saw this video my sister emailed me back in February which I never actually watched. Oops.

a great day

happy birthday to two of the loves of my life.

robert downey jr and heath ledger.
i was going to spend the day watching a bunch of movies that they are in,
like knight's tale, sherlock holmes, 10 things i hate about you, and iron man.
but it happens to be the busiest week of the year.
listening to the soundtracks will have to suffice.
happy birthday.

spinach

you know those spinach smoothies?
i made one today and it was dang good.
all the superheroes are drinking them nowadays.

I kind of just threw a bunch of fruit, ice, and spinach in the blender
but here is a recipe i found on this blog:

An Orange, cut into fourths
A Banana
5 or 6 Strawberries
A cup or handful of frozen peaches
Large handful of spinach
Small handful of carrots (about 5 mini carrots)
1/2 C. water

my recap

Last night I got 5 texts telling me that Zachary Levi was singing at the Academy Awards and making sure I was watching it. I have such good friends.

Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law are handsome as ever. And super witty and hilarious and they play off each other so well. RDJ should host next year.

Russell Brand and Helen Mirren should have had more time too. So classy. I want to be her when I grow up.

I liked Scarlett Johansson's dress. I still sometimes have bitter feelings toward her...

I feel really good about all the awards that were given. I'm glad Christian Bale got Best Actor in a Supporting Role. He's phenomenal. I do think that Alexandre Desplat and Hans Zimmer need to win something though.

I also liked the Harry Potter autotune. And the opening Inception/other movie spoof. That was great. But I thought the hosting was eh. James Franco didn't look like he was having fun up there. Still like him though.

All in all, so awesome. I love pop culture. I feel like I should be a part of that someday.

poe. 2012.

Hello, why didn't I think of this?
He'll be brilliant.
I'm going to call this one ahead of time.
When they make a movie about JK Rowling, Cate Blanchett will play her.

lucky.

See this lady?
I kinda want to be her.
She has my dream job...
She's a Hollywood movie producer.

Oh, did I forget to mention her name?

Susan Downey.
Downey.
Yep. She's married to him.

You're living the dream, sister.

"Cry, 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'"

1. eat chips and salsa
2. ride on the boat
3. sleep
4. look at Robert Downey Jr.
5. talk to Ryan Moon

I could do those things all day and never get bored. All day, baby. All day.

I'm excited for Inception to come out. It looks way trippy. And it has a bunch of my favorites:
Leonardo DiCaprio, Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michael Caine, Cillian Murphy, Ellen Page. It'll be rad.

Also, another new movie coming out in 2012. Poe. Starring none other than RDJ. I'm psyched out of my mind.

Mr. Beck told me he could see me being a history teacher. And he asked if I could see his grey hairs.

I really want to live in one of these. It'll be brick and have a brightly colored door and shutters. It'll have flower boxes under the windows. It'll be perfect.
I painted my nails red. It's spicy.

Alma 26. It's so good. It makes me feel better about my awkward life.

"I was going to make you an omelet and tell you."

I watched Iron Man 2 yesterday. I loved it.
I will admit that there were too many plots. The whole thing with Dr. Fury or whatever wasn't really necessary. We were already dealing with Tony's failing health, Hammer, and the ghetto Russian guy.

I could have eliminated a character or two; sorry, Scarlett. I tried to like you, but I just don't. All you were good for was that fighting scene, which really could have been Pepper. Go home to Ryan.

The special effects were really good. I especially like all Tony's technology. Like JARVIS. I really want one of those. I'd especially like one with Paul Bettany's voice.

Was Pepper using a bump-it? I think she was. But I'm willing to overlook that, because I think she is really cool. I wish I could work a pencil skirt and heels like she can.

I liked Don Cheadle as Rhody. I didn't like that he was almost a bad guy for a minute. I was glad when he and Tony became friends again and they killed all the droids in the random Japanese atrium thing.

Oh, let's not forget Robert Downey, Jr.

Tony Stark, you are hot. You are a technological genius, which I love. When you get into your building mode, I go into a trance. I could watch you build stuff all day. You are incredibly well-dressed in this one; even your casual attire was fabulous. I liked when you made Pepper the CEO and when you finally kissed her on the roof. I was really worried when your blood toxicity was getting high and I thought you were going to die. And remember when you discovered the new element? That was so cool, probably my favorite part.
You were fabulous.
Ahh. Let's watch it again.

good movie

Watson: You've been in this room for two weeks, I insist you get out.
Holmes: There is nothing of interest to me, out there, on earth, at all.
Watson: ...So you're free this evening?
Holmes: Absolutely.
Watson: Dinner?
Holmes: Wonderful.
Watson: The Royale?
Holmes: My favorite.
Watson: ...Mary's coming.
Holmes: ...Not available.
Watson: You're meeting her, Holmes!
Holmes: Have you proposed yet?
Watson: I haven't found the right ring.
Holmes: Then it's not official.
Watson: It's happening, whether you like it or not. 8:30. The Royale. Wear a jacket.
Holmes: You wear a jacket.

I need to take about 600 deep breaths and tell myself to keep my cool.

I don't really know what to blog about today.

Maybe I could tell about how I told a random scary guy from my history class that he was in my dream. He took it surprisingly well.

Or maybe about how broth, legume, and hearth are weird words that I don't like to say.

Or about how much homework I have and how bad I already have senioritis.

Or about how awesome my friends are.

Or about how you can still be voting for my video every day. And I hope people are.

Or about how my big sister is moving home and I will finally be able to quote movies again without people thinking I'm crazy.

Or about how I found a cool picture of RDJ.

Or about how it's finally the weekend. Hooray.
