do you need something fun to do this weekend?
it's called incredibox.

i came across this site last semester when i was working on an audio mix for a class.
and it's awesome!

you basically create a symphony of beat boxing, whistling, and other cool mouth sounds.
it's fuuuuun to play with and it's cool because someone thought of it and made it happen.

a missionary friend's description of trying vegemite:

Imagine dropping a dollop of crusty dark chocolate into a pool of tar. Then, retrieve that tarred chocolate with a dirty diaper, throw it into a bucket of salt, and then let it sit on the sidewalk for about three days. That's Vegemite. Don't ever try it. I feel like I should repent cause nothing so foul and profane has ever touched my lips before.

my whole week is summed up in these words:

sleep in.

work.

olympics.

friday night lights.

bed.

even though there has been minimal physical activity, the emotional activity has been off the charts.

olympics AND friday night lights at the same time?

geez people. waterworks over here.

life's about to get real busy, so i'm ok with this.

enjoying my last weeks of pure relaxation.

i wrote lots of letters today.

18 pages, front and back! (name it...)

actually it was like 9 pages front and back.

lots of friends who live far away right now.

i love getting mail. i love sending it too.

i love the thought that someone took the time to write on some paper just for me.

and i love that tiny feeling of doubt that you get when you drop a letter in the mailbox.

you just have to have faith that your letter will reach that person

and not get lost or forgotten on the way.

emailing and texting are good.

but there's nothing like opening the mailbox

and seeing your name handwritten on a beaten-up envelope.

i love it.

imagine dragons! and other stuff.

my new music obsession is imagine dragons. they're like a mix of the killers and onerepublic. and there is not a thing wrong with that.

my new love is probably thanks to this new show called audio-files. each episode profiles a different band. it premieres this april, but as i'm an employee at the tv station airing it, i got to see the first two episodes ahead of time. and it is going to be freaking awesome.
